IMPORTANT NOTES
Due to INX file format changes, older InDesign CS 3.0.1 INX files will not open in a version that has the InDesign CS 3.0.1 April 2005 (CS2 Compatibility) update applied. Before applying this update, open any of your existing CS INX files in a version of InDesign CS that does not have the April 2005 update applied, and save them out as INDD files so they can be opened after the update is installed.
This update enables the Save Back workflow only from InDesign CS2 to InDesign CS. InDesign 2.x will not open InDesign CS or InDesign CS2 INX files.
This April 2005 update includes fixes from the original InDesign CS 3.0.1 updates (posted in March 2004 and August 2004), as well as new fixes. Users who installed the original updates will need to install the April 2005 version to receive the new fixes. The original updates are no longer available separately.

Adobe's SING architecture answers a requirement of "gaiji" for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean typography. The term "gaiji" is a Japanese word meaning "supplemental glyph" or "supplemental character." In this context, it means: Any character or glyph that is valid in your written language, but is not in the font you are using. The SING architecture provides a way for users to extend their fonts with individual new "glyphlets," representing variant glyph shapes, or symbols. These glyphlets are embedded in documents and can be used for editing at other points in the workflow.
This download is a Technology Preview of the SING gaiji technology, to let customers and developers begin to evaluate the SING architecture. It extends Adobe® InDesign® CS_J and provides some glyphlets for the Adobe Kozuka Mincho typeface family as well as a Glyphlet Management Tool.
Note: This Technology Preview is not supported by Adobe; it is for evaluation only. You must have the Japanese version of Adobe InDesign CS, and a Japanese-capable operating system, to install and use it. We invite you to report any problems or other feedback you have by submitting them to [email protected]. Our Product Management and Quality Assurance teams review this information, and improvements you suggest may be incorporated into future releases. (Please note that you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your feedback but that you may not receive any other information.)
