Adobe® InDesign® software can enter a buffer overrun state when the Open a File dialog box is accessed. This state may cause InDesign to quit or shut down, and you may receive the error "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor." The InDesign 2.0.2 Unexpected Quit fix resolves this issue.
When European number separators are used in an Excel spreadsheet (for example, "1.234,567") and the spreadsheet is placed into an Adobe® InDesign® 2.0 document, the number separators are imported incorrectly. For example, "1.234,567" is imported as "1,234.567." The Excel Import Filter Update resolves this issue.

The Adobe® InDesign® 2.0.2 Text update includes the following fixes:
— Jidori is correctly applied for vertical writing when vertical scaling is also used.
— When character tracking is less than -500 and Zenkaku-Yakumono is applied to the text, the character spacing is correct.
— If text contains characters with varying fonts and/or point sizes and optical kerning is applied to the text, the spacing between characters will be correct.
— If optical kerning is applied to text, the spacing will be the same whether the fonts are installed before or after the document is opened.
— If a Microsoft Word document or RTF file uses Macintosh or Windows® system fonts, and the document or file is placed into an InDesign document, InDesign may not report that fonts used by the file are missing if the fonts are installed or active.

When using Adobe® InDesign® 2.0.x in Mac OS X on a computer that has more than 1.5GB of installed RAM, one or more of the following problems may occur:
- "Not enough memory" error is displayed when activating a clipping path from the Object menu.
- "Out of memory" error is displayed when selecting an EPS or TIFF file and trying to create a clipping path.
